Death by Xoko
You're looking for somebody to share your big day and re-tell your story with some beautiful pics ...?
Let me explain a little bit about myself and what photography means to me....
After losing my dad 10 years ago, i initially picked up my camera to feel connected to him. He had a passion for photography, working as a photographer in the 70's before he had me, so i grew up with his his eye for making pictures out of our daily life. He documented the small things and in doing so sealed the precious moments and memories we had as a family.
This is what I bring to my weddings and my work…
I confess to sometimes welling up in speeches and ceremonies... and one of the nicest things about this job, is that I am learning about this thing called love through the couples I meet along the way. I am on my own journey with it all and being a wedding photographer is part of it . One day I would like to feel that i have come home too. I love the vows, especially the ones that are home-made. To marry your best friend is a beautiful thing.
I like to think I blend into the furniture and feel like a good friend at other times. I tend to go with the flow and don't plan too much as most of the good stuff happens off the cuff. I love to shoot the getting ready pics, filled with emotion and expectation .
I have been growing my photography alongside my little boy, Otis, for the last 9 years. I've lived in Brighton for the last 20 years..The playfulness and individualism of this city appeals to me, which is what has kept me here. In contrast to city life, I love immersing myself in nature and music, needing both for a re-boot often.
